About the record
Jazz fusion, rock and World influences
Dimensions moves across jazz fusion, rock, industrial, psychedelic rock and World music. Its combination of genres is broader than any one of those labels alone. Different strands of Chris Dair’s playing share the same record.
For a way into that range, compare Dimensions with Strange Island’s meeting of blues, jazz fusion and rock, or with the Indian influences and guitar-led improvisation of GuitarRaga. Truth provides another connection to the psychedelic side of the catalogue, through a collaboration built around Vivien Dair’s melodies and lyrics.
